At NexFileo, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our online file converter.
1. How We Handle Your Files
The files you upload to our servers are processed entirely by automated scripts.
- Temporary Storage: Files are stored in temporary, isolated directories for the sole purpose of executing the conversion job.
- Automated Deletion: All input and output files are permanently deleted from our servers 2 hours after upload. We do not keep backups or archives of your files.
- No Content Inspection: We do not inspect, read, copy, index, or analyze the contents of your files.
2. Information We Collect
We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information (such as name or email address) to use our basic conversion service. We collect only minimal connection data, including:
- Anonymized IP Address: We collect a hashed representation of your IP address strictly for rate-limiting purposes to prevent platform abuse.
- Technical Metadata: We collect non-personal metadata about jobs (file sizes, format types, and completion status) to monitor system performance.
3. Cookies & Tracking
We do not use tracking or targeting cookies. We store your theme selection (light, dark, or system preference) in your browser's local storage, which remains entirely on your device.
4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not share your files, metadata, or connection details with third parties. All processing is run on our isolated, self-hosted worker infrastructure.
